8′ Ingo Maurer “Oh Man, It’s a Ray!” Chandelier, Germany, 2009

“Oh Man, it‘s a Ray!” is both a monumental mobile at 8′ and a chandelier, by collectible lighting designer, Ingo Maurer. It is directly inspired by, 20th century artist, Man Ray’s “Obstruction”, installed at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Made from simple, wooden parts in the shape of coat-hangers and clear bulbs, it is an airy and playful, yet impressive object and is an homage to the inventiveness of Man Ray. Includes ___ original bulbs + low voltage transformer. Height is from bottom of bulb to top of canopy, with appx 20″ of cable to extend height. Germany, 2009
