Beautiful and rare “Junior” armchair designed by Yrjö Kukkapuro, manufactured by Haimi in Finland during the mid–1960s. Swivel chair, made from fiberglass with enameled white steel base. Seat is covered with original leather upholstery. Best known for his chairs…most famous is an easy chair called Karuselli (‘Carousel’) from 1964 which is included in the permanent collection of major museums including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
