SOLD – Country French Provincial Bleached Oak Marble Top Commode

19th century country French provincial commode or chest of drawers crafted from oak with a bleached finish. The chest features a white Carrara marble-top with evidence of a prior wash stand backing. Fitted with five storage drawers the case has paneled sides and drawer fronts with brass hardware. The bleached finish showcases the oak woodgrains and has a nice warm patina. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship supported by bun feet in the front. Clean, simple lines with a nice profile and age.
