SOLD – Italian Cabinet with Birch and Rosewood Bar, c. 1940’s
Handsome Italian cabinet, circa 1930s or 1940s, in deep rosewood and birch. The fine contrasting woods and finish reflect the Art Deco aesthetic while the simple geometry and utilitarian hardware suggest the Bauhaus. The upper cabinet has two doors on left side, one with door storage for bottles or barware and the other hinged at bottom for writing surface or bar prep surface. Sliding glass doors at right side enclose storage for optional bookshelf. Glass doors are removable if open storage is preferred. The lower cabinet has a radius edge with three doors, six drawers with long chrome pulls, raised on contrasting wood base. Makes an outstanding cabinet behind desk.
