SOLD – Glass Box of Beetles, from the Oberthur Collection

Beautiful entomology. Fascinating collection of pinned beetles. Shouldn’t everyone have a box of bugs? Plaque on side of frame acknowledges Rene Oberthur, brother of entomolist Charles Oberthur. Charles named 42 new genera of moths and had the second largest private collection of specimens in the world in 1916 (5 million specimens).
