Silas Seandel Ribbon Wall Sculptures


A pair of Silas Seandel “Ribbons” of brass and chrome, one signed and dated. Sold together, the sinuous sculptures mount to the wall. His work emerged with importance during the Brutalist movement of the 1970’s, along side craftsmen like Harry Bertoia and Paul Evans and became more refined by 1980, when these were created. Seandel’s highly respected work is included in collections across the country including installations at the World Trade Center Memorial and AT&T in New York, and the Lipton Tea Company and Johnson & Johnson in New Jersey.
