Hague School Sideboard by Pander, NL, 1930’s

$9,200

In one of several Dutch interpretations of the Art Deco movement, this Hague School sideboard was fabricated by Pander, with design attribution to Hendrik Wouda. Two equal drawers sit above lower two lockable doors which conceal an open single shelf interior storage compartment. The exterior is comprised of a variety of exotic wood veneers framed by a solid oak border. The cabinet sits elevated from a stylized offset base. The exterior pulls are solid rosewood, thin profile with a minimal finger groove. Satin closed pore exterior finish shows the inherent character of each wood species. NL, 1930’s
